IMPROVING CLAIRVOYANCE ABILITIES
Question: "What is it called when you don't need to look to find something (say in your purse), you just know where it is and your hand almost can 'see' what you need? I am somewhat psychic at times, dreams etc., but this has been with me since childhood."
Psychic Advice:
Everybody has psychic abilities and intuition available to them, just as everyone can throw a ball or draw a picture. In our modern western society, most people are not taught how to use or develop their psychic abilities, but as with any art or sport, improving clairvoyance abilities and other psychic abilities can be done with practice.
The ability to "see" with the mind's eye is known as clairvoyance. Clairvoyance is a French word that literally translates to "clear seeing", and clairvoyant abilities express themselves in many forms. Many people have clairvoyant experiences of one kind or another, and just by recognizing them as such, they can focus on improving their clairvoyance abilities.
Déjà vu is a form of clairvoyance, as are dreams that come true. Both of these are types of psychic visions or premonitions. A premonition is the ability to see something before it happens, and it often serves as a warming of something in the future. Even the image of seeing something like a glass being knocked over before it happens is a form of clairvoyance as a warning to move the glass.
Some people see clairvoyant visions of events in the past, present or future. Clairvoyance can transcend time and space, so one can use clairvoyance abilities to see things of the distant past, including past lives. One can also use clairvoyance abilities to do remote viewing of people, places and events that are occurring in the present in distant locations. Clairvoyance can also be used to see visions of the distant future. Some people receive these visions spontaneously and without engaging their will, while others can direct these visions by intention, thereby improving clairvoyance abilities.
Psychic abilities are often strongest in childhood, and many children see and hear "imaginary friends". We do not simply grow out of this, but we are trained to shut the door to our psychic abilities because those around us may be uncomfortable with them. Our modern society is afraid of these inherent abilities, and dismisses them out of superstition by labeling these natural and normal God-given gifts as being somehow "supernatural" or "paranormal".
There is far more to our world and to our Universe than what we can perceive with our five senses, but we can develop our sixth sense to allow us to experience the vastness of our reality. With our five senses, we can only perceive this world in a limited way, like seeing the daytime sky and believing we are separate and alone in the Universe; our sixth sense removes the veil of limitation, and allows us to see reality as we see in the night sky, that we are actually one planet in a vast galaxy.
Clairvoyance allows one to see beyond the veil that separates our third dimensional reality from the spirit world of the fourth and fifth dimensions. Some clairvoyant people can see spirits of those who have passed over, as well as ghosts and apparitions, angels and spirit guides. Some clairvoyants can see auras and energy fields around or within the body of people, animals and even plants.
Some people can see these clairvoyant visions with their eyes open; other people close their eyes to improve clairvoyance by projecting these visions onto the blank screen of the mind's eye. The Universe is constantly projecting intuitive guidance and clairvoyant information onto the screen of our mind because the Universe communicates with us through telepathy (mind-to-mind communication), which is visual and symbolic.
Even having a photographic memory employs a form of clairvoyance that allows you to see in your mind's eye exactly where something is that you've seen before, or enables you to recall exactly what you've read. This can also be a form of "clair-cognizance", or psychic knowing.
Our hands also have energy centers known as chakras, and have the ability to pick up energy, allowing them to "see" and feel psychically. Healers often scan a body with their hands to read the energy of the body. When I read the Tarot, I often close my eyes and use clairsentience to read the cards with my hands so I can feel the energy and "see" what is being shown to me on the screen of my mind.
Clairsentience, which means "clear feeling", is the ability to receive messages about people, places or things through psychic feeling, either by feeling the energy with your hands, or by feeling it emotionally or energetically within you. Psychic detectives often employ clairsentience, or empathy, to pick up on energy through psychometry of photographs or objects. Clairsentience can be used for healing, to know what another person (or an animal) is feeling either physically or emotionally, and generally to pick up on energy in people, places and things.
Some people can receive psychic information through clairaudience, which means "clear hearing". They may simply hear a message in their mind, like "it's in the outside pocket of your purse". This voice will sound like your own voice, but it is always peaceful, confident, and loving - never critical. It is the voice that says, "Oh, I knew that was going to happen", or, "I should have listened to myself", but will never say, "I told you so".
Every person has some type of intuition that communicates in any of these forms, or in a combination of them. In my Intuitive Development classes (which will resume in January), I teach people how to quickly and easily develop and strengthen all of these abilities. The key is to learn to simply trust yourself, and to work on improving clairvoyance abilities, and other psychic and intuitive abilities with patience and with practice.
