CHANNELING SPIRITUAL HEALING

Question: "All my life I have always felt that I'm searching for something but don't know what. Lately I have developed a strong interest in becoming a spiritual healer. I don't know what brought this on. I'm not psychic or anything, but I find that I'm drawn to this area."

Psychic Advice : Everyone is born with psychic abilities and with healing abilities, it is just a matter of learning to develop them and direct them with intention. When a mother kisses her child's wound to make it better, electromagnetic energy is transferred to the child that accelerates the healing process. This is the power of love and intention.

Recent studies at such places as Duke University have demonstrated that prayer positively affects healing. The power of prayer is the power of intention - it is love and compassion in action, which is what healing is.

The body is always trying to maintain and restore perfect health and balance, and if given the right mental, emotional, physical and spiritual support, it will naturally remain healthy. The body's sole desire is to have all of its systems functioning optimally, and it maintains all of these systems automatically. Problems develop in the body when the energy flowing within these systems becomes blocked by various factors: improper nutrition; chemical poisoning from pesticides, detergents, or environmental pollutants; ongoing negative thoughts and emotions which produce destructive chemicals in the body; rips or holes in the aura as a result of trauma; etc.

No one actually heals another, because healing can only come from within. A spiritual healer is one who can determine the root cause of an energy block, whether it is originating on the mental, emotional, physical or spiritual level. A spiritual healer will then work with correcting the imbalance, removing the energy block and redirecting the energy so that a proper flow of energy is re-established. The natural functions of the body will then take over, and the flow of health will be restored in time. This can happen miraculously overnight, or it can take time and several treatments, depending on the will and power of the subject, and the duration of the affliction.

An ailing person must have the will and heart's desire to heal and to live life in order for true healing to occur. Illness and disease can result from a resistance to life itself, and unless that mental, spiritual and emotional condition is healed, no amount of spiritual healing can override or counteract a person's will.

Spiritual healing, as with all healing, is a matter of co-operation between the healer and the person choosing to be healed. Many surgeons will not perform an operation unless the patient is willing to give up smoking, for instance, because the patient must demonstrate a willingness to participate in the healing process by changing the patterns that contributed to the ailment.

There are many forms of spiritual healing. Some healers employ a "hands on" approach, while others, such as myself, will address an energy block from a spiritual and emotional perspective. There are infinite ways to affect healing, the key is to learn to engage the co-creative power and will of the client to participate in his/her own healing process, while you as the healer are channeling the divine healing power of the Universe directed by the power of your intention and intuitive guidance. Anyone can do this, if their will, compassion, love and intention are strong enough, and if they are willing to get their own ego out of the way to allow whatever is for the highest good of all to occur, without judgment, resistance, or control.

In order for healing to occur on any level, we must first accept that the illness or disease has served a purpose, and the person who has manifested that ailment must embrace the experience and all the gifts it has offered. Once these gifts have been fully received, then the disease no longer serves a purpose and can then be released (unless its purpose is a karmic one). The easiest way to relieve suffering is to have gratitude for the situation and all the gifts and experiences that it has presented. Gratitude raises the frequency and vibration of energy above that of disease, creating ease, harmony and peace in the body and around it.

You have felt a longing and have been searching all of your life, and what you have been seeking is your Self. You have been searching for your true identity, and are now hearing the calling. The time is right for you now to discover and explore your gifts in order to become who you really are, who you have always been and who you will always be, no matter what else you are "doing". It is time for you to wake up to your truth, as it is for many others as well.

Many of us on Earth at this time are healers, and we have come to heal humanity and this planet to restore the natural health, balance and wellbeing to all systems, and to raise the frequency of energy here. This healing takes place in many ways and in many forms (plants and animals heal us just as we heal them), Many people are still asleep, and it is up to those who are awake to gently nudge them into consciousness. We do this with love and compassion, because love and compassion are the great healers.

Some people express their healing gifts in ways that are obvious: by being part of the medical profession, or massage therapists, counselors, physiotherapists, veterinarians, etc. Some express their healing gifts by being social workers, working for charities or Peace Corps, working in emergency response or volunteering. Some people use their healing gifts more subtly by renovating and healing houses, smiling and taking a genuine interest in a customer, or by just listening to a friend, loved one, a child, or even a "stranger". Anyone who treats others with love and compassion, and who desires to make this world a better place (in great or small ways) is a healer.

If you are choosing to express your spiritual healing power through helping others to heal their bodies, then you must learn to direct the power of your intention. One way to do this is by holding your hands in front of you with your palms facing each other. Rub your palms together vigorously for a moment, then hold your palms slightly apart, and feel the energy between them. You may want to do this with your eyes closed so you can get a greater sense of feeling, or some people can actually "see" the energy with their eyes open or closed.

Concentrate on receiving divine healing energy from your Source above you, bringing that healing power into your heart and your solar plexus at the base of your ribs, then channeling this healing power from your heart into your hands, with love, will and intent. Feel the heat and the energy increasing in your hands, and move your palms farther and farther apart until you cannot feel the energy between them anymore, then bring your palms close together again. With the power of your love and intention, you can now direct this healing energy into any part of your body, or anyone else's body, that needs and desires healing.

Children are naturally gifted with healing energy because they are filled with pure unconditional love and compassion (unless they have been conditioned out of it). Children love to play this healing "game" of feeling their own energy and power, and directing it to help others. Children want to be of service, and this is a great way for them to do so. Next time you have an ache or pain, play this game with your young child and ask him or her to place their hands on or above the area that hurts, then allow yourself to receive the miraculous power of their love.

Healing is a miracle, just as life itself is a miracle, and we can all be miracle workers if we allow the miraculous to work through us and for us. It is all a matter of our will and intention, because we have Free Will to create and achieve anything we choose.

Congratulations on your awakening to your own power. Now all you have to do is find out how your heart desires to channel and direct that healing power. Ask yourself, who or what most needs your help and healing? What kind of help and healing do they need, and how can you best use your gifts and power to help and to heal? Be patient with yourself as you allow these answers to emerge. Remember that whenever a question is asked, the Universe will answer, so pay attention because the answers can come in any form. Ask for three clear and gentle signs that are easy for you to understand, and let yourself be guided to your true healing path.

You may be called upon to work with children, with plants, with the Earth, with houses, with co-workers, with government, with parents, with women, with animals, with the body, with the heart, with the spirit.... Spiritual healing can take any form, as long as it comes from your heart and from compassion, not from the mind or the ego. Go into your heart to find what you love most on this earth, because the things that you love most are the signposts along your journey to direct you on your true path. This is what you have been seeking, and it was within you all along. May you be blessed on your journey - we are all blessed and healed by those who bless and heal others.
