PARENT PROFILES FOR ADOPTION

Question #1: "Can you please enlighten us on adoption? When a child is adopted, is this perhaps a past child/parent relationship that was not completed or unfinished and must be fulfilled? And, why are so many child souls not adopted, what is the lesson here? Why are so many folks unreceptive to the idea of adoption when in fact it should never matter how a child comes to you?"

"Psychic Advice": Adoption has many facets and many karmic aspects that impact the child, the birth parents, the adoptive parents, and adoption agencies or caretakers. There are parent profiles for adoption for both the birth parents and adoptive parents - each person has his/her own reasons for the choices they are making. Each adoption situation is unique to every soul involved, and every experience serves a purpose for all concerned.

We all have karmic bonds and sacred contracts with many of the souls that incarnate with us as our friends and family. People also have karmic bonds and sacred contracts with their children, which definitely includes both biological children and adopted children. The soul of a child will often hang around its prospective parents for many months or even years before choosing to incarnate.

When pre-born spirits contact a birth parent, they are creating a sacred contract and an agreement as to how they will serve each other. The parents agree to the circumstances and lessons they will provide that soul, and the child agrees to what he/she will teach and offer the parents.

When pre-born spirits contact a birth parent, they also agree to the circumstances of the pregnancy, whether there will be a miscarriage or abortion, and whether the sacred contract between them involves the child being offered for adoption. These agreements are made on the superconscious level, between the higher selves of all those involved. The information relating to these sacred contracts and karmic agreements is stored in the unconscious mind, where it dictates the actions of all concerned - this information is also recorded in the Akashic Record, which holds the records of each person's soul.

The decision by a birth parent to consent to adoption of the child is often a difficult one. A birth mother usually wrestles with a full spectrum of thoughts and emotions throughout a normal pregnancy in any case, but when she decides to give her child for adoption, it often brings up feelings of deep pain, sadness and shame that can remain with her for the rest of her life. Adoption consent by a birthparent is really an act of selfless love, because the mother is giving away a piece of herself in honor of the child's sacred path and soul purpose. Of course, a birth mother's heart's desire is for her baby to have a better, happier life than she is able to provide at the time.

If adoption is part of a child's sacred journey, it often fulfills karmic bonds and sacred contracts with both the birth parents and the adoptive parents (who may also have karmic bonds and sacred contracts between them). This can be about fulfilling unfinished business from other lifetimes, or it can simply be creating sacred contracts within a soul group to play various roles for the growth and evolution of all souls involved. When pre-born spirits contact a birth parent, they may also contact their prospective adoptive parents. This is why adoptive parents often feel a profound yearning and urgency to adopt a child - that child's soul is calling out to them.

It is interesting to note that there are many cases where a couple has been trying to conceive a baby for years unsuccessfully, yet after they adopt a child they suddenly find themselves pregnant. This is absolutely the work of karma and sacred contracts. For various reasons, their first child needed to have the adoption experience, and both the birth parents and adoptive parents needed to have their hearts opened through that process. If they had been able to conceive in the first place, the adoptive parents may never have chosen to adopt, and would have missed an opportunity for the growth and evolution of all souls concerned.

It is important to remember that Free Will reigns supreme on Earth, therefore souls can choose to cancel sacred contracts or postpone repayment of karmic debts. This is why some soul mates do not end up being together, and it is also why some children do not get adopted. There are children whose soul path and sacred contract requires that they never be adopted, so they can grow and learn through that experience. Many of these children choose to learn independence and self-sufficiency - they must often overcome feelings of being rejected or unloved, or even of being unlovable. Children who are not adopted must also learn forgiveness, not only toward their birth parents, but also toward their caretakers and the adoption system, which is often lacking in compassion, sometimes to the point of being abusive. Sometimes, this can be repeating karma from past lifetimes where a great deal of pain and suffering took place, and where forgiveness was not achieved.

There can be a resistance or stigma around adoption, particularly if it involves different races. This is a symptom of the illusion of separation that we are still healing on this planet. Many people gravitate to those who are the same as them, and view those who are different in any way as being "others". This is part of a primitive survival instinct to protect the clan or tribe from "outsiders" - it is a belief that is born of fear. Nature has shown us that the power to love and nurture another can not only transcend this illusion of otherness, it can even transcend species - even overcoming natural killer instincts. There are many instances where animals have adopted and nurtured the young of their natural enemies. In fact, even humans seem to be far more open to animal adoption than we are to human adoption.

The adoption of a child is an act of love for all concerned. Adoption consent by a birth parent is an act of selfless love to give a better life to that child. The child holds a deep loving bond with both the birthparents, as well as with its adoptive family. The adoptive family opens its heart and home to love the child. Love is the key aspect of parent profiles for adoption, because adoption causes the growth and evolution of the heart, mind, and soul for each and everyone concerned, including members of extended family, with whom there can also be sacred contracts and karmic bonds.

Question #2: "I just want to know if a psychic can feel if your true biological parents are actually trying to find you. One psychic told me that my biological [parents] are trying to look for me. Can a psychic pick that up?"

"Psychic Advice": Yes, a psychic can pick up a birth parent's search for an adopted child. When biological parents are looking for adopted children, there is often a very strong energy of love and desire there, along with other powerful emotions. ("August Rush" is a great movie illustrating this effect.) There is always an energetic bond that remains between a parent and a child (that transcends life itself), this is particularly true between a birth mother and her child.

Some people wonder do children really need their biological parents. The answer is that some children do and others do not - it is a personal question that depends on the individual. The decision by a birth parent to consent to adoption of a child is often dictated by the birth mother's present circumstances. Later in life, parent profiles for adoption can change, leading the birth parent to search for the adopted child. Sometimes biological parents looking for adopted children forms part of their sacred contract, and sometimes reuniting with a birth parent completes a karmic bond and fulfills a sacred contract.
