THE OTHER SIDE

What is your perception of what "the other side" looks and feels like?

Before my father died almost four years ago, he held my hand and told me that he wanted to communicate with me from "the Other Side", or what he referred to as "beyond the veil". After his death, I could see him in my dreams, and I could feel him around me, and even hear messages from him, but my own pain and grief at the idea of "losing" him in my life ironically prevented me from having the connection with him that I longed for.

Then, last Easter, I received a message from him that I was to sit down at my computer and transcribe the words that he would dictate to me. I was instructed to do this every Monday, which I have done ever since. He has spoken to me about all aspects of life, helping me to have a greater and more profound understanding of issues such as how to best work with our spirit guides, how to make the most of time, how to manifest true joy and prosperity, and even issues related to depression, forgiveness, and breaking the cycle of addiction. In all this time, I have never asked him what it is really like on the "Other Side", but I thought he would be the best one to answer this question:

"You have already received a question about what it is like on this side of the veil. I am surprised you have never asked me this before. I will do my best to explain it as I experience it, which is not the same experience for everyone.

As you now, I am a traveler. I do not like to stay in any one place for too long. I love adventure, and I love to journey far away. I travel the cosmos at will. Many souls do not realize they can do this. They remain attached to the Earth, attached to their loved ones, and do not take advantage of being in spirit form. In a light body, one can manifest anything at will.

It is even possible to manifest in the third dimension, but this takes a tremendous amount of strength and will power to make the smallest effect, and is not really worth it most of the time. I have told you before that I can manifest parking places, etc, but this is more about influencing the heart and mind of people, which I do with love and respect for free will. It is harmless, and I would never overstep my bounds, because free will is the prime directive. I do not influence people to do other than what they want to do, I just help with the timing and circumstances for your benefit, and the benefit of others.

I have not chosen to reincarnate, and I am not officially a guide to anyone. I am truly a free spirit, free to do as I will when I choose. I like this freedom - I enjoy it very much. I love to explore the Universe. There are colors and worlds of such magnificence that it is indescribable to a human brain or human eye that is limited in its imagination and ability to comprehend such exquisite beauty. Creator is magnificent. I will not speak of my direct encounter with that One, however I will say that the word "love" does not begin to describe the sheer and utter bliss of the experience of this Oneness.

Most people want to know what "heaven" is like. Heaven is what you choose it to be. There are those who love us who are there with us, as they have always been there for us. It is not so much that they come to greet us when we pass, as it is that they have always been there with us in spirit, as I am with you now. When you pass into this dimension, you will be able to see me clearly, as if I have come for you. These spirits are always with you, they never leave you, unless they move on to another plane, another lifetime, or another dimension of existence.

There is immeasurable peace here - it is also exciting, warm and beautiful. Any beauty one can imagine is here. There is exquisite light. Exquisite peace, bliss and joy. There is no pain. No sorrow. The sorrow that we "feel" is not the sorrow of spirit, but the sorrow that is still attached to Earth, still attached to our loved ones, or to our physical existence. The only pain is that of regret, which is futile because there is no point. You have an eternity to make amends and to make things right, so better to let go of regret and accept the lesson learned, or as yet unlearned.

When one first arrives, it is overwhelming, truly shocking. No matter how well one is prepared to pass through the veil, it is an awesome journey. I cannot describe it to you, first because words pale in comparison, and second because it is not really permitted lest it set up a false expectation that traps a person in their mind at the time of passing, which could serve to limit their ability to actually pass into the light, and thereby trap them in a semi-physical existence that is controlled by the mind. This is all very complex and complicated. Suffice it to say that it is a glorious journey, even if the initial transition may be somewhat jolting*. The more you surrender to the process, the more peaceful it can be.

If I had relaxed more, I could have enjoyed it more. But I was so determined, as you know - I was ready to leave and used the power of my will to make it so. This is not the best way to go. One can choose to go much more gracefully, like falling asleep and ending up in a glorious dream. It is that simple and can be that easy. That is all for now. Let us just say that there is nothing to fear. It is beauty beyond measure, pure bliss and joy. You can do, be and experience anything you want, anytime, for there is no time. Everything is instantaneous, especially for those who are not still attached to the physical existence."

(*The reason it is so jolting is because it is like being awakened suddenly from a dream, and indeed, this is the case. To be on this side is to be fully awake and aware. There is no longer any need for sleep. And so the journey across the veil is an awakening from a great slumber of semi-conscious existence on Earth. It is quite refreshing, really, once you get used to it. Death is not a passing into unconsciousness, it is a passing into super-consciousness.)
