CAN A PSYCHIC READING EVER BE WRONG?

Question #1: "I have spoken to many psychics recently. I went to one and they told me that my ex is coming back because he cared and that a new man should be coming into my life. Then I went to another one and they told me the same thing but bad stuff. I went to a different one and they told me good and bad. I heard my ex wants to come back and it will work out and the other will be my soulmate. I was told that I have a choice. But then I have heard some stuff about me and my ex which isn't true. Well I don't feel that it is true because I know better. But my question is: is a psychic reading written in stone? Do I have choices that can be made? I feel emotionally distraught at everything that they have told me and I don't know what to believe."

Psychic Advice:
Going to many psychics can be very confusing. Each psychic will have a different level of skill and ability, and each psychic will see things from a different perspective. It sounds like you keep going to different psychics until you find one who will tell you what you want to hear.

The most important thing is that you must always trust what you feel, because only you can really know what is true for you - but you must be willing to know the truth. Sometimes you may be told some things in a psychic reading that you don't want to hear about yourself, or about someone else, so you might want to deny that those things are true. When this happens, some people have a tendency to put up walls of resistance that make it difficult for a psychic to give an accurate reading.

The truth is that you always have choice in your life, and no reading is ever set in stone. The difficulty with predicting the future accurately is that it is always based on probability, so no one and nothing is ever 100% accurate (no one is 100% accurate in any profession - especially the weatherman!). The future is never absolute because we have the power of Free Will and choice in every moment (near-death experiences have demonstrated that we have choice even beyond our last breath). A psychic could tell you that going to California could change your life, but you can choose not to go to California and wonder why your life never changed.

A good psychic reading will draw a roadmap of your choices, possibilities and potential for happiness. It will outline what is likely to happen if you continue on the path that you are presently on, and it will address what other possibilities exist for you and how they are likely to unfold if you choose them. Always remember that you have the power of choice, and you are the one who must live with the repercussions of your choices. You are the one who ultimately chooses your destination and your destiny, and you can choose to enhance or to sabotage your future happiness by the choices that you make in the present.

Knowledge is power because it gives you the power to make the best choices. I believe that this is the beauty of having a reading, because it can empower you to feel confident in your choices and decisions. A good psychic reading should never leave you feeling like you are a victim of fate who has no choice - this is completely disempowering. There are some unscrupulous psychics who use this approach to manipulate clients into being dependent on them for all of their choices and decisions, and this is simply wrong.

My goal as a psychic is to give my clients the tools so they can create the greatest amount of joy and success in all areas of their lives, and to teach them how to develop and trust their own intuition. It does not serve the highest good for my clients to become dependent on me, because my mission is to empower my clients to live well. (That is also why I offer this advice column for free.)

In my readings, I always cover so much information that I record the session for my clients to refer back to (which is helpful because sometimes what a person thinks they heard is not exactly what was said). Many clients call me years later to tell me that they recently listened to the tape of my reading (some from 14 years ago) and everything that I told them unfolded as I said it would. Some clients tell me that they thought some of the things I told them were impossible at the time, and yet they came to pass (my accuracy rate is about 90%).

This is what is written on the tapes of my readings: "Together we are exploring who you truly are and what your highest potential may be. This information is based on the energies of now and the probabilities for the future. The future is not set in stone, you have the power of choice. A reading can highlight what you might choose to change or enhance for your greatest good. You are responsible for the choices you make and the actions you take, so choose your destination - your destiny - wisely. Live each day in Love, Light and joy."

With regard to your ex versus your soulmate, there are always reasons why an ex is an ex. Many people want to hold onto old relationships (even though they did not work) simply because they are afraid of the unknown. The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting the outcome to be different. It is worth waiting for a relationship with someone who really makes you happy. Do not give your power away hoping for a psychic to tell you what you think you want to hear. It's your life, and only you can live it, so choose well.

Question #2: "If someone gets a reading, is it possible that the psychic is seeing someone else and really not them?"

Psychic Advice:
Yes, a psychic can misread a person, especially if there is someone else in the room at the time of the reading, or some other strong distraction. If a psychic is not reading you accurately, it is important that you say something at the time and give the psychic a chance to refocus. Sometimes, if a person is very nervous, or if they are very skeptical or doubtful, it can cloud the accuracy of the reading, especially if the client puts up walls of protection. A good psychic can get around this, but it often involves asking the client for permission to read them, and helping them to relax.

In my readings, I always start by reading what is going on for my client in the present, and what is impacting them from the past. This allows me to make sure that I am reading them accurately before I proceed with looking at the possibilities for the future. I also tune into my clients using their name at birth and birthdate, which allows me to access their Akashic record - the record of their soul's journey through this life and others. This allows me to connect with who they truly are on the soul level, and what their purpose and potential is in this lifetime.

A psychic may not be able to connect with every person because they may not be on the same wavelength. I have done thousands of readings, and in fifteen years there have been maybe five where I have not been able to connect properly with the person, usually because of too much resistance on their part. This was often because they were "forced" by someone else to have a reading with me, which they did not really want. If I cannot connect accurately with a client in the first few minutes of a reading, I stop the reading and do not charge them for it. If you felt that a psychic was not reading you accurately, they should not have charged you for that reading, but you should speak up at that time and let them know how you feel.
