CURING VOICES IN THE HEAD
Question: "About 4 months ago my aunt's twin sister died and I started hearing people's voices. Because I was struggling with addictions, I thought that I was crazy. So I stopped and now 4 months later I can still hear people in my head. I guess they call them manipulators. I don't like what's happening to me and I would like to know if you could explain what's wrong with me. I'm 18 years old."
Psychic Advice:
There are many reasons for hearing voices in our head, and many different types of voices that we all hear in our own mind. Some of these voices are beneficial, and some are not, and we must learn to discern between them.
We all have a constant stream of thoughts and voices that continually speak to us in our mind. Some of these voices give us positive ideas, inspirations and support, while other voices encourage us to do negative and destructive things.
Many people experience the voice of the inner critic that judges and criticizes everything they do. This often occurs with people who have been raised by critical parents, who then take on the critical parental voice in their own mind.
There are also positive and supportive voices that we can hear in our mind, which are often the voice of our intuition and our spirit guides. These are the voices that we want to learn to listen to. The voices of our guidance system will often sound like our own voice in our head, but it will always be loving and encouraging, never critical. It may say, "Oh, I knew that", but it will never say, "I told you so, you ___".
Our intuitive voice is the still, small voice within us that speaks gently and softly, making suggestions as to what might be the best course of action, and giving us certain feelings or promptings about people, places, things, and choices, and whether to move toward them or away from them. Our intuitive voice is always seeking to guide us toward safety, and to our greatest joy and highest bliss, if we listen to it. In order to hear this voice clearly, we must still ourselves and quiet the mind as in meditation, but this can be challenging for those who experience a great deal of mental chatter.
We each have different sides to our personality, and each of these will have its own voice. There is the voice of the worrier, the naysayer, the skeptic, the optimist, the pessimist, the inner child, the masculine self, the feminine self, the creative self, the scientific/technical self, etc. Each of these will speak to us in our mind, and may even argue and debate with us, or with each other. This is all perfectly normal and natural.
The problem is that addiction, grief, and negative or traumatic experiences can attract negative entities that can become negative guides who encourage one to attract and experience more and more negativity. Like attracts like frequency, and positive guides assist us to attract positive experiences because they essentially feed on our positive energy. Likewise, negative guides encourage us to do all kinds of negative things, and will cause us to attract negative people and experiences so they can continue to feed on more and more negativity. Addictions, particularly to drugs and alcohol, not only attract such negative entities, but are then further driven and encouraged by them. This is the voice that says, "Oh, go on, have some more, a little bit never hurt anyone, you know you want it, etc." They are indeed manipulators who want to drive you further into negativity and addiction.
It would be good for you to do a lot of cleansing and detoxification in order to get the "monkey off your back". Drink lots of good, pure water, and consider going to a health food store or natural health practitioner to get some cleansing products to flush your system of toxins (using an infrared sauna can also be extremely helpful).
On a psychic level, you can state an affirmation that says, "My mind and body are filled with the light of love, which surrounds and protects me at all times. Only loving thoughts and energies can enter my space now and forevermore. I banish all negative energy from me, from my body and from my space, and I send it to its rightful place. I am whole, I am healthy, and I am sovereign over myself. I am free from the influence of any and all negativity from this moment forward." Use this affirmation often, until you feel clear.
Visualize a shower of white light that enters the top of your head, cleansing your mind, cleansing and filling every cell in your body - all negativity is flushed from your body and flows out from the bottoms of your feet until you are completely filled with light. See yourself so filled with light that it overflows from the top of your head and surrounds you in the white light of love and protection. See this as your forcefield, protecting you from any and all negativity. Keep this shield around you at all times to shine the light of love and protection wherever you are. Imagine your Higher Self as a great angel standing very large and tall directly behind you, protecting you and supporting you to command your will.
Remember that this planet is ruled by Free Will, but when you succumb to addiction, you give your will and your power away. Now that you have released your addiction, you must reclaim your will, becoming more conscious and more empowered with every breath you take. Use all of your will and intent to reclaim your mind. The more you choose loving, peaceful, positive thoughts and emotions, the more you will starve the negativity and feed the positive, thereby repelling negative entities and attracting more and more positive ones. Meditation and visualization can be very helpful for curing voices in the head.
